Iraq, Somalia will be the US next target
Regional-USA, Politics, 12/3/2001

The British daily the " Observer" said in its Sunday's issue quoting European sources as confirming that the US is planning to strike Iraq and then topple the regime of the Iraqi President Saddam Hussein through supporting the Iraqi opposition militarily and this will be in the context of the second phase of the anti- terrorism campaign.

The European sources stressed that the motive for launching the American attack will be Saddam Hussein's rejection to accept UN inspectors to inspect the Iraqi military arsenals, rather than Washington's doubts on Iraq's links to the attacks at New York and Washington.

On the other hand, the British daily " Sunday telegraph " issued on Sunday said that the US asked Britain for help in preparing for a military interference in Somalia and this will be in the context of the next phase of the international campaign against terrorism. The Monte Carlo radio reported.
