Al-Fahoum and Arafat's visit to Damascus

The chairman of the Palestinian council Khaled al-Fahoum said that the date of chairman of the Palestinian Authority PA's visit to Damascus will be in the very near future either before Eid al- Fiter or eventually after it.
In a statement to the Saudi daily al-Watan issued on Sunday, he explained that the Palestinian side is waiting for defining a new date for the visit and " I do expect according to my contacts with our Syrian brothers that this date will be made very soon." He stressed that Syrian- Palestinian relations are a matter of destiny rather than strategic.
