Moroccan athlete calls for solidarity with flood-stricken Algeria

Moroccan field and track star, Hicham El-Guerrouj, on Thursday called on Arabs and Muslims to extend help to the victims of floods that hit Algeria recently. El-Guerrouj, ambassador of the UNICEF, made the call at a telethon aired by the Algerian TV channel to raise funds for the victims of the floods that claimed more than 750 deaths and hundreds of homeless.
Arabs and Muslims should show solidarity with Algeria and help it surmount the pain caused by the floods, El-Guerrouj said.
