Arab-Muslim governments, peoples called to intensify backing to Palestinian people
Morocco-Palestine, Politics, 11/29/2001

The Moroccan Association of Support to the Struggle of the Palestinian People on Wednesday called on Arab and Muslim governments and people to intensify material and moral support to the Palestinian people.

"The Palestinian people are suffering ethnic purification and a systematic war of extermination," the Association's President Khalid Soufyani told reporters on the occasion of the Solidarity day with the Palestinians, proclaimed by the United Nations.

"Free peoples in the world should urgently get mobilized to save the Palestinian people, who endure different kinds of blockade, re-colonization of their rights and dignity," he said, adding the Palestinians are prevented from self-determination and foundation of their independent and sovereign state.

While Israel is still disdaining the international society, the Palestinian people are denied their rights of self-defense against Israeli colonization, he said.

The Association deplored what it called "suspicious silence" vis-?-vis the daily crimes perpetrated by the Israeli occupiers.

The Association also called on all regional and international Organizations interested in human rights for making December 10th 2001 a day consecrated to defend the Palestinian people's rights.

The means, the association said, would be to organize events and seminars, to direct calls and to do some lobbying on the international society so as to stop bloodshed against Palestinians and give them the right to establish an independent state with Al-Quds (Jerusalem) as capital.
