Morocco's power company to purchase Senegalese company

The Moroccan power company (ONE/state-owned) and the French Vivendi-environment company, which are bound by a partnership accord, have set up a consortium to purchase Senegal power utility (SENELEC), it was officially announced in Dakar.
Vivendi and ONE are bidding for the Senegalese company together, Senegal's energy, mining and hydraulics minister, Macky Sall, said.
The two companies will compete with US AES firm for the taking over of SENELEC.
SENELEC's capital will be ceded to the future strategic partner at 51 percent, the Senegalese state keeping 49 percent.
