Egypt, US sign agreement on legal cooperation Thursday

Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Maher and Secretary of State Colin Powell will Thursday sign an agreement on legal cooperation to standardize some judicial criteria between the two countries.
The signing ceremonies will take place Thursday in the state department premises within the context of Maher's current visit to Washington.
The agreement provides that any proposed forms of assistance or cooperation would not clash with the government laws in the two countries.
It also covers bilateral cooperation in the fields of evidence exchange, information and access to documents and records.
