Sharon confers with the US envoys

The Israeli prime minister on Tuesday met with the two American envoys Anthony Zinni and William Burns in Jerusalem. The Hebrew- language Israeli radio said that the meeting lasted for two hours during which the two sides discussed issues described as important but without explaining the nature of the debated issues nor the results of the meeting.
The Israeli radio said that the meeting was a closed- door meeting and was not attended by the Israeli foreign minister Shimon Peres nor by the defense minister Benjamin Bin Aliazer.
Later Sharon and the two American envoys held an air tour in the airspace of the West Bank.
