Doha hosts the Arab banks federation conference

Doha will host in the mid of March, 2002, the Arab banks federation conference with the participation of several Arab and foreign bankers.

The executive president of Qatar's national Bank Saeed Bin Abdullah al-Masnad, who is also a member at the board of the Arab banks federation said that Qatar has expressed repeatedly her readiness to host the Arab banks federation conference which held its recent meeting in Beirut.

Al-Masnad, who represents the Qatari banks to the federation said that 350 high ranking economists and bankers from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states and other Arab states and Europe will attended the conference and will discuss several issues pertinent to the sectors of banking, foremost being electronic banking services and changes and challenges facing Arab banking industry at present and in the future.
