Israeli forces continue striking Palestinian territories

Five Palestinian children were wounded as a result of the Israeli bombardment of the Palestinian villages and cities in the West bank and Gaza.

Almost 7,000 Palestinian citizens held a funeral ceremony for the Palestinian teenager Khaled Obeid ( 13 year old) who was killed by the Israeli bullets on Thursday.

In another escalation step, the Israeli forces on Monday started leveling Jabal al-Deek territories to the north of Bethlehem to open a new ring-road linking Abu Ghneim mountain to Jerusalem, with the aim to ensure a short and secure road to settlers in this settlement which at the meantime has nobody living in it.

In retaliation to the Israeli escalation the Palestinian teenager Teiser Ahmad al-Ajami on Monday at dawn carried out a suicide operation resulted in wounding two soldiers at Eres crossing at the northern entrance of Gaza.

The BBC correspondent in the Palestinian territories said that the Palestinian youths is from Beit Lahia town which recently witnessed Israeli tanks incursion and detonated himself by belt full of explosives when an Israeli military vehicle was passing by. The correspondent said that the Israeli forces closed the area and launched a vast detention campaign among the Palestinian workers.

Ezz Eddine al-Qassam in the Palestinian resistance movement " Hamas " claimed responsibility for the operation and said that Teiser Ahmad al-Ajami carried out the operation in retaliation to Israel's assassination of Mahmoud Abu Hannoud.

Meantime, al-Aqsa martyrs groups announced that one of its groups implanted an ambush to the Israeli prime minister near his house in Jerusalem but he was able to escape.

An Israeli patrol was exposed to fire near Selat al-Daher village in Jenin district. Two Israeli policemen were wounded when an Israeli on foot patrol tried to arrest four Palestinian youths after chasing their car to the north of Negev in the territories of 1948.

The people's army vanguards group said that the detonation of two explosives in the procession of the Israeli army chief of staff Shaoul Mofaz on Sunday came in retaliation to assassinating Abu Hannoud and other Palestinians, stressing that the car which was carrying Mofaz was completely destroyed in contrary to what the Israeli authorities claimed.

Mofaz admitted that the Palestinian resistance men succeeded many times in targeting processions of Israeli military-men and politicians during their tours in the occupied Palestinian territories and that those Palestinian resistance men get intelligence information on the move of the Israeli officials.
