China seeks to maintain trade, economic cooperation with Iraq

The Chinese ambassador in Baghdad has stressed that his country seeks to strengthen trade and economic relations with Iraq in all fields.
The Iraqi daily al-Jomhoreyah ( the republic) quoted the ambassador as saying in its Monday's issue that the volume of trade co-operation between the two countries in the framework of the oil for food program tolled more than USD 27 billion since starting working within the humanitarian program. He explained that Chinese trade and industrial companies have signed several trade contracts with Iraq.
