Muslims, Christians live in harmony
Egypt, Religion, 11/26/2001
Muslims and Christians live in Egypt in full harmony pinning the same hopes, and suffering the same pains, said grand imam of al-Azhar, Mohammed Sayed Tantawi.
He added, during Iftar (post sunset meal) of the national unity, "we sit before Iftar banquet to cooperate in whatever copes with piety, whatever serves Egypt's interests."
He said "we gather today to celebrate the 10th of Ramadan occasion, in which Muslims and Christians penetrated the lines of the enemy out of defending Egypt."
