Israel continues killing of Palestinians

The Palestinian teenager Kifah Obeid (13 year old) was killed on Sunday during confrontation near Bethlehem between the Israeli forces and school students who organized a demonstration in memory of five students who were killed in Khan Younis on Thursday.

The Israeli soldiers opened fire at Sadeyah Hasanin ( 31 year old) a woman who is 8- months pregnant while passing near her house in Bawabet Salah eddine area in Rafah.

One Palestinian taxi driver was hit by the Israeli bullet in his face when the Israeli soldiers opened fire at his car while passing by an Israeli military barrier in Deir al-Balah.

The Israeli forces also bombarded a headquarters for the Palestinian police to the north of Gaza and this resulted in wounding one police man and wounding a teenager who was standing near the building of the general intelligence in Khan Younis which also underwent the Israeli bombardment.

On Sunday at dawn the Israeli tanks and bulldozers incurred for two kilometers and demolished three buildings inhabited by five families in Deir al-Balah which were also bombarded by Israeli Apatchi helicopters and this resulted in destroying a center for the Fatah movement and heavy damages in a civil defense building.

The Israeli military vehicles also leveled before their withdrawal tens of cultivated lands and cut palm and olive trees and also incurred for hundreds of meters in territories that fall under the control of the Palestinian Authority near Meiraj settlement, near Rafah.

Palestinian eye-witnesses said they monitored Israeli soldiers installing a station to launching missiles on the line separating the eastern part of al-Breij camp in the downtown of Gaza.

The Israeli forces arrested more that 15 Palestinian from the villages of al-Beera, Deir Ammar, and Sanja; in the areas of Ramullah and Jenin under charges of resisting the occupation.

The Israeli forces also detained tens of Palestinians from al-Esaweyah village to the east of Jerusalem under the pretext of throwing stones at the Israeli cars and also detained two Palestinians in Jit village in al-Muthalith area occupied in 1948.

Meantime, the Israeli supreme military court refused to permit the citizens of Kafer Bur'im and Iqrith in the territories of 1948 to return to their villages after they were expelled by the Israeli forces under security pretexts and still those Palestinians are homeless.

In retaliation to the Israeli attacks, the Palestinian Intifada youths opened fire at an Israeli military vehicle positioned in Jabal Abu Ghneim near occupied Jerusalem and threw several explosives and stones at the Israeli soldiers in the surrounding of Qubet Raheel ( Raheel Dome) to the north of Bethlehem.

One Israeli woman settler was wounded while provoking the Palestinians near Halhoul village to the north of al-Khalil when the Palestinian teenager threw stones at her car.

Two explosives were detonated to the south of al-Khalil when an Israeli military procession passed by including the Israeli army chief of staff Shaoul Mofaz.

The Israeli official TV said that the explosion took place when the Jeep car advancing the procession passed by, noting that Mofaz nor his companions were not damaged and that Mofaz was then evacuated by a helicopter to an Israeli air base near Tel Aviv.

Meanwhile, the Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon renewed the determination of his government to continue the policy of assassination if the Palestinian authority will not arrest the Palestinians wanted by Israel. He set a precondition to start negotiations with the Palestinian Authority to totally halt the Intifada.

The Israeli war minister Benjamin Bin Aliazer admitted that his forces assassinated last week 6 wanted Palestinians and arrested other 18. He said:" we will continue the policy of assassinating activists of the Palestinian Intifada."
