Acts of violence in Makadishu

Eye-witnesses and medical sources said that 13 persons were killed and other 14 wounded in two incidents in an area in the downtown of Somalia.

The eye-witness Ahmad Issa Ghoutali told reports in telephone calls that several persons were killed and 10 wounded when a car was hit by an RBJ shelling near Mataban city in Heiran area in the center of Somalia.

He explained that the shelling was fired by a teenager who used to work as driver assistant for a passengers truck who was just fired from his work.

On the other hand, passengers who arrived in Makadishu on Sunday said that 6 persons were killed and 4 wounded, also during the day in battles in Afjwa to the south of the capital, fighting erupted between Qari and Abqal factions who have been fighting over the ownership of lands since long time.
