Arab commission to rewrite the history of the Arab- Israeli conflict

The Arab commission in charge of rewriting the history of the Arab- Israeli conflict discussed in its first meeting held in Amman arrangements that will facilitate collecting historical documents and evidences to historians to enabling them to formulate the history of this conflict.

The commission, headed by the secretary general of the Arab historians federation Dr. Muhammad Jasem al-Mashhadani, defined this " historical encyclopedia " some 16 main items covering all historical aspects for this conflict, the Zionist conferences, its leaders and schemes.

According to sources of the commission, the encyclopedia will also include the Arab revolutions which confronted the Zionist attack and revealing its historical role to resistance and the Arab position towards the cause of Palestine, as from the war of 1948 until the Israeli invasion of Lebanon.

One item sheds light on the role of the UN forces and the UN in the Arab- Zionist conflict since the " partition of Palestine in 1948" and the role played by the Arab League in this conflict, as well as the Zionist terrorist operations and the prominent role played by the Intifada and its legitimate right to confrontation.

As for the city of Jerusalem a special item was drawn, thanks to its importance in the Arab and Islamic conscience including a historical study to it and the Israeli schemes aiming at Judaizing it and expanding settlement around it in order to build the claimed " Israeli temple" in it.

The commission includes in its memberships historians from Syria, Iraq, Jordan, Egypt, Lebanon, Palestine, the United Arab Emirates ( UAE), Yemen, Qatar, Libya, Tunisia, Algeria and Morocco.
