Arab investors federation to establish an Arab commerce company

The secretary general of the Arab Investors federation Jamal eddine al-Bayoumi has announced the foundation of the first Arab company for commerce and marketing at a capital of USD 100 million that would contribute to promote for Arab products in foreign markets.
In statements he made in Kuwait on Saturday, al-Bayoumi said that the Arab investors federation held several sessions with businessmen and investors in the Arab states in order to become acquainted with their basis to found the first Arab company for Arab marketing and commerce abroad, noting two trends for future work, which are hurrying into making internal reforms in the Arab homeland and to maintain support among the Arab states so as to withstand the recession expected in the world economy.
He indicated that inter- Arab investments are less that what is needed and are less than 5% in comparison to total Arab investment abroad which exceeds USD 800 billion.
He attributed this condition to the internal Arab condition which requires more reforms for certain important points, noting that ensuring the internal atmosphere which is appropriate to investment would help in receiving expatriate Arabs sums.
