King Mohammed chairs first Ramadan lecture

Morocco's King Mohammed VI, Commander of the Faithful, chaired Wednesday in Rabat the first Hassanian lecture of this year's Ramadan.
The lecture was delivered by Moroccan Habous (endowments) and Islamic Affairs minister, Abdelkebir Alaoui Mdaghri on "the Foundations of Social Solidarity in Islam."
The Hassanian Lectures, instituted by the Late King Hassan II, are delivered and attended by renowned scholars coming from all the land of Islam. They deal with all walks of life, science, culture. from an Islamic angle.
The king will chair this Thursday the second lecture to be given by Dr. Hamed Ben Ahmed Rifail (Saudi Arabia), Chairman of the World Islamic Forum for Dialogue on the theme "Knowledge and Security among humankind."
