Lebanese defense ministry officials meet with Palestinian delegation

The Lebanese daily al-Safir said in its Wednesday's issue that a Palestinian delegation composed of the 10 Palestinian groups on Tuesday visited the Lebanese ministry of defense and held talks with the Lebanese defense minister Khalil al-Hrawi and the commander the Lebanese army Lt. Gen. Michael Suleiman as well as the director of the intelligence Lt. Gen. Remond Azar, and the visit was made within the framework of the current efforts to deal with the consequences of the armed attacks at the Lebanese army barriers in the outskirts of Ein al-Helweh camp.
The paper added that during the delegation's meetings with officials at the Lebanese ministry the two sides reviewed the security conditions in general and the measures taken by the camps' s security and people's committees especially in Ein al-Helweh in order to maintain stability inside and outside these camps.
Stress was laid between the two sides on the need to end security violation incidents.
The paper said that the delegation learnt from the Lebanese officials their assertion to prevent all violations and attacks at the Military men or civilians, alike, stressing that such violations are only for the benefit and service of Israel..
The two sides agreed to follow up co-ordination meetings in order to reach positive results.
