Jordan, IMF discuss economic reforms program

Jordan and the International Monetary Fund have agreed to start a new round of talks in February 2002 in order to put all details pertaining to the next economic reform program in Jordan and to evaluate the last phase of the current program.
The two sides, the Jordanian led by the minister of finance Michael Maru and the IMF tea led by David Barker held a round of discussions in which they ended their discussions which lasted for two weeks during which they discussed the performance of the Jordanian economy in the framework of the economic reform program which expires in April 2002.
The two sides expressed their desire to renew this program in order to continue the economic reform operation which has been carried by the Jordanian government since 12 years in collaboration with the IMF.
