Kuwaiti coast guards arrest Malaysian oil tanker carrying smuggled Iraqi oil

The Kuwaiti coasts guards have confiscated a Malaysian oil tanker carrying 1500 tons of the Iraqi oil as a violation to the embargo imposed on Iraq since 1990.
The Kuwaiti daily al-Anbaa ( the news) quoted the ship's sources as saying on Sunday that the ship which carried the Malaysian flag and owned by an Iraqi named " Ahmad Ali al-Sheikh" was smuggling oil to Malaysia.
The crew of the ship which is composed of 13 persons was arrested including 8 Iraqis and five Indians while the ship anchors in al-Shweikh port near the city of Kuwait.
