Syrian actor humanitarian efforts commended

The Sudanese ministry of health and the UNICEF commended the efforts made by the renowned Syrian actor Dureid Lahham, who is the good intention ambassador of UNICEF to the Middle East and North Africa for his active participation in the 9th Sudanese national campaign to eliminate children's polio in Sudan.

The representative of the Sudanese ministry of health Dr Issan eddine Muhammad Abdullah and UNICEF's representative Thomas Akfal have stressed that the participation of Lahham in this campaign had contributed to its success and in giving high morale to workers in this campaign.

Actor Lahham, on the other hand, expressed his happiness to take part in the efforts made by the Sudanese government and the UN organizations in order to immunize children, fighting AIDS, spreading awareness among citizens to fight against this killing disease. Lahham also called for a vast media campaign to fight and eliminate this disease.
