Sudan-USA, Politics, 11/17/2001
The Sudanese foreign minister Mustafa Othman Ismael on Thursday evening welcomed lifting UN sanctions on his country and called in the international organization to reconsider the sanctions already imposed on other countries including Iraq and Libya.
News reports quoted Ismael as saying in a speech before the UN General Assembly that it is right time to end the oppressive measures imposed by the unilateral pole.
Ismael called on the UN security council to investigate the US bombardment of the medicine factory in Sudan in 1998.
