Algeria-Morocco, Politics, 11/15/2001
Algerian president, Abdelaziz Bouteflika, received on Thursday Moroccan interior minister, Driss Jettou.
The meeting took place in the presence of Algerian minister of state, home minister, Yazid Zerhouni, head of the Algerian president's office, Larbi Belkheir, and members of the delegation accompanying Jettou.
The Moroccan interior minister arrived in Algiers Thursday morning, with a message from King Mohammed VI to President Abdelaziz Bouteflika.
Jettou said the delegation accompanying him will also express condolences and heartfelt sadness over the tragedy that befell friendly and brotherly Algeria.
Algeria was hit last weekend with floods that claimed more than 600 casualties and thousands of homeless people.
The interior minister added that he would review with his Algerian peer, Yazid Zerhouni, means of reactivating bilateral cooperation to enhance it to the two countries' expectations.
