Coordination meeting for the Gulf foreign ministers

The foreign ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) members states held a consultation and coordination meeting in New York on the sideline of the current UN General Assembly in which they discussed regional and international incidents and developments and their reflections on the countries of the GCC member states and on the Arab and Islamic nations.

The participants discussed positions taken by the GCC concerning issues debated issues at the agenda of the current session of the UN General Assembly, foremost being the question of international terrorism, the Arab Israeli conflict and the situation in the Gulf region.

They also discussed stances of the GCC in the joint meetings like those held between the GCC and states and groups like the European Union, the US, China, Japan, Russia and the Rio and the ASIAN groups.
