The Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak and French President Jacques Chirac underlined the need to solve the Palestinian cause, and establish peace in the Middle East. The two leaders said there is no relationship between Islam and terrorism, stressing the necessity of restricting military operations against terrorism to Afghanistan for fear of hurting the interests of the whole world if operation were expanded. The Lebanese daily al-Beiraq said that conditions in the Palestinian camps in Lebanon on Sunday were the subject of lengthy discussions in a high ranking security meeting held in one of the headquarters of Lebanese security leaders The paper added that the Lebanese government decided to implement the warrant of arrest and sentences released concerning Palestinians in these camps and the sides concerned in these camps were informed, administratively, about this decision. The Lebanese daily al-Sharq said in its Monday's issue that it had learnt from well-informed sources that the Lebanese authorities are searching for supply sources of " Usbat al-Ansar group and the Lebanese security forces arrested several traders suspected to run special project for the Usbat al-Ansar group in Sidon." The French foreign minister Hubert Vedrine on Sunday evening in New York reviewed with 14 foreign minister on the European Union member states as well as with the US secretary of State Colin Powel the situation in the Middle East. Go

In its editorial Asrar al-Aleha ( the secrets of Gods) the Lebanese Arabic language daily al-Nahar said that the director general of the International Committee of the Red Cross Paul Crossredier expressed his conviction during his visit to Beirut recently that the three Israeli soldiers ( kidnapped by the Hizbullah party) are dead.
