Al-Shara confers with Sabri, Moratinos
Syria-Iraq, Politics, 11/13/2001

The Syrian foreign minister Farouk al-Shara at the headquarters of the Syrian permanent mission in New York met with the Iraqi foreign minister Naji Sabri al-Hadeithi and discussions dealt with issues scheduled at the agenda of the UN General Assembly and bilateral relations between the two states.

The meeting was attended by the director of the special offices department at the foreign ministry Muwafaq Nassar, Iraq's permanent representative at the UN and Iraqi officials concerned.

Al-Shara also received at the headquarters of the Syrian permanent mission to the UN in New York the EU-ME special envoy Migeul Angle Moratinos and discussions dealt with international and regional conditions and the European efforts aiming at alleviating tension in the Middle East and means of reviving the ME peace process.
