Tunisia's First Lady calls for activating women's social role

In her speech at the extraordinary Arab Women's Summit Mrs. Leila Ben Ali First Lady of Tunisian, called for setting a prize "for the best Arab media production depicting the important role of women in society."
She also called for sharing experience among Arab women activists in order to fine-tune collective cooperation.
Mrs. Ben Ali stressed that development cannot be sustained unless women were freed from discrimination and marginalisation, in addition to enhancing their participation in decision-making.
She also called for a common Arab action on the international scene to inform the world about the sufferings of Palestinian women and children.
