The Tunisian opposition parties have welcomed the announcement made by the Algerian President Zein al-Abidin Bin Ali to make constitutional reforms on the political and parliamentary Statute in the country in a speech he made last week on the occasion of the 14th anniversary of assuming power in Tunisia.
The secretaries of the opposition parties had a consensus position on the importance of reforms for a new phase of political pluralism and democracy and human rights in Tunisia.
The secretary general of the " socialists Democrats movement" Ismael Buke expressed his hope that reforms will be made in the context of frankness and transparency and would lead to opening a new page based on national reconciliation and guarantees Tunisia's smooth move to the rank of developed states.
