Project to restore Bahnasa antiquities

The Supreme Council of Antiquities (SCA) finalized an integrated project to restore Al-Hassan Ibn Saleh Mosque, the oldest mosque at Al-Bahnasa city in Menya, which dates back to the Fatimid era.
Minister of Culture Farouk Hosni said the mosque will be opened for visiting after the Eidul-Fitr (Ramadan Barium) holiday.
SCA Secretary-General Gaballah Ali Gaballah said that the project cost about LE 3 million.
Archaeologist Abdullah Al Attar, Head of the Islamic and Coptic Antiquities Sector, said an integrated project to restore Al-Bahnasa antiquities at a cost of LE 50 million.
