Egypt: Israel's practices, sheer crimes
Egypt-Israel, Politics, 11/10/2001

Egypt's delegation to the United Nations strongly attacked Israel's practices and policies in the occupied Palestinian territories, terming them as criminal and constituting a flagrant violation of international law.

Egypt's permanent delegate to the United Nations Ambassador Ahmed Abul-Gheit said he had submitted to the United Nations General Assembly session on Wednesday a report of the special committee to investigate Israeli practices affecting the human rights of the Palestinian people and other Arabs of the occupied territories.

Egypt's report tackled the deteriorating conditions the Palestinians have been going through as a result of Israeli practices, he added.

Abul Gheit noted that he was keen on reminding delegations that history recalls peoples resistance against foreign occupation.

So it was not strange for the Palestinians to resist occupation, he concluded.
