Chirac visits the United Arab Emirates

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) news agency said that the French President Jacques Chirac will next Monday pay a visit to Abu Dhabi during which he will hold talks about Afghanistan and the conflict in the Middle East in the framework of a tour he will hold on the Middle East.

The agency added that president of the UAE Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan al-Nahyan will hold talks with the French President in the framework of consultation and co-ordination on developments of current conditions and the international efforts against terrorism and means of reviving the Middle East peace process.

The agency added that the two leaders will also discuss bilateral co-operation relations between the two countries.

The French Presidency had announced that Chirac will on Monday and Tuesday will hold a tour Egypt, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia in the framework of the diplomatic move carried out by France since the attacks on September 11 in the USA. No clarification was made on the program of this tour.
