Jordanian King confers with Blair

Jordanian King Abdullah II on Thursday met at his residence in London the British Prime minister Tony Blair and said replying to a question on the continued war if Afghanistan during the holy month of Ramadan that we " have to always remember that there are military objectives that have to be carried out."
Amid his support for the American war in Afghanistan, the Jordanian King mentioned the Arab- Israeli conflict, considering that all matters taking place constitute " a unique opportunity" to reach a comprehensive solution in the region.
After the Jordan King reiterated his recognition of the " right of Israel to exist" and hoped its people " stability, security and prosperity," he indicated " the Palestinian people have also the right especially their right to declare their own independent state."
The King added that without the establishment of this state and Israel's withdrawal from all occupied territories there will be no just and permanent solution for the conflict in our region." N.
