One Egyptian arrested while swimming towards Israel

The Israeli radio said on Wednesday that the Israeli navy arrested one Egyptian who sneaked while swimming on Tuesday evening near Eilat city on the Red Sea in south Israel.

The Israeli boats besieged the Egyptian swimmer who was carrying on his back " a big Bag " but he refused to surrender until the Israeli soldiers opened fire in the air as a warning of fears that he is carrying a bomb in the bag.

Then the bag disappeared in the sea, according to the radio, which did not give details about the swimmer's identity nor his intention.

Later investigations revealed that the man lost his way on his rubber- boat to Eilat coming from Alexandria.
