International Coalition to sponsor peaceful settlement between Palestinians and Israelis

French President Jacques Chirac will visit Egypt, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia next Monday and Tuesday, Eleysee Palace announced.

AL Akhbar learnt that Mubarak and Chirac would discuss a number of French ideas discussed by President Chirac with President George Bush and European leaders for breaking the current deadlock of the peace process.

It also learnt that Chirac would discuss with President Mubarak the formation of an international coalition for the sake of peace in the Middle East including Egypt, Jordan, the EU, the United States and Russia.

This coalition will be assigned with submitting to the Israeli and Palestinian sides proposals fort peace settlement, ultimately leading to the declaration of the establishment of a Palestinian State and guaranteeing Israel' security.

President Chirac had announced after the mini Europe summit held in London last Sunday that the establishment of a Palestinian State should be accelerated, as this has become a pressing target.

The French President had discussed these ideas also with Israeli Foreign Minister Shimon Peres.

President Chirac is due to discuss with President Mubarak horizons of the political solution for the Afghan crisis and exchange views on contacts and ideas launched in this respect.

President Chirac will also brief President Mubarak on the results of the mini European summit in London, the results of the talks with US President George Bush and his meetings with Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf and Israeli Foreign Minister Shimon Peres.
