Immunity lifted off Azmi Beshara

Israel on Wednesday lifted the immunity of member of the Israeli Knesset Azmi Beshara in a symbolic voting operation whose results were known in advance in preparations for trying him on statements supporting the Palestinian Intifada.
Some 61 members of the Israeli Knesset voted for lifting immunity from Beshara. This measure opens the door before directing accusation against him.
