Sharon to bring into Israel more 1 million Jewish settlers
Palestine-Israel, Politics, 11/8/2001

In new provocative statements, the Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon said he intends to bring into Israel some more 1 million Jewish settlers.

In an interview with the British daily " the Guardian" issued on Wednesday, Sharon stressed his determination to keep the city of Jerusalem in the framework of any future negotiations with the Palestinians.

News reports said that Sharon did not show any sort of regret towards Israel's re-occupation of Palestinian cities and areas in the West Bank, stressing his determination to continue the policy of liquidating activists of the Palestinian Intifada.

In a first commentary by the Palestinian authorities on the statements by the Israeli prime minister, the PLO representative in Britain Afif Safeyaf told the said paper that Sharon is obsessed with war and is standing on a barrel on dynamite.
