Turkey postpones sending troops to Afghanistan
Turkey-Afghanistan, Politics, 11/7/2001
The Turkish army Presidium has postponed sending the special forces composed of 90 army officers to Afghanistan, at least for 15 days because of the vagueness prevailing the region, according to the Turkish dailies issued on Tuesday. The dailies added that the reason behind this postponement is because there are differences between the Afghani northern alliance forces and the inability of the alliance forces from controlling so far Mazaar al-Sharif.
