UN envoy meets with leaders of Palestinian factions

UN representatives to the Palestinian territories Terry Rod Larsen on Monday evening in Jenin met with the representatives of several Palestinian groups including the Fatah movement and the Palestinian national resistance movement Hamas and the people's Front for the liberation of Palestine.
The Israeli radio quoted Palestinian sources as saying that Larsen listened to the positions of these groups concerning the issue of the cease fire and the Israeli aggressions against the Palestinians.
Larsen underlined the importance of implementing the cease- fire so as to pave the way before resuming the negotiations between Israel and the Palestinian authority.
