Cooperation between the People's Assembly and the government promotes citizens' interests

The Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak met the members of the National Democratic Party (NDP) Parliamentary body on the occasion of the beginning of a new parliamentary session.

During the meeting which was held on Tuesday, the President will underlined the importance of securing cooperation between the People's Assembly and the government in order to promote the interests of citizens.

The President stressed the need for discussing bills with a main emphasis on those contributing to solving the problems of the masses.

He will also underline the need for securing cooperation and coordination among all the state sectors in order to eliminate the problems of slowdown, reactivating the market and providing more job opportunities.

During the meeting, the President called on NDP members to integrate positively with citizens inside their constituencies in order to get acquainted with their genuine needs.

The President also dealt with the developments of the peace process and international campaign for combating terrorism and the measures to be taken by the government for mitigating negative effects of the world economy in the wake of the latest terrorist incidents.
