On King Abdullah's visit to Britain
Jordan-UK, Politics, 11/6/2001
The Jordanian minister of state, official spokesman for the Jordanian government Saleh al-Qallab has stressed that the aim of the current visit by the Jordanian King Abdullah to Britain is to hold talks with the British officials on the situation in the Palestinian territories and recent developments as well as meeting with British investment sides.
Al-Qallab renewed Jordan's position which calls for concentrating the international efforts on founding the Palestinian state, and resuming the Israeli- Palestinian negotiations to this end. The Jordanian official criticized the futile negotiations and the Israeli retreat from committing to signed agreements with the Arab side.
On Monday, the Jordanian prime minister Ali Abu al-Ragheb left Amman on Monday to join King Abdullah in his official visit to Britain. A visit which had started before its official date set for Tuesday ( today).
