Israeli Knesset lifted immunity off Beshara

One committee at the Israeli Knesset on Monday lifted immunity from the Arab member at the Israeli Knesset Azmi Beshara because of what it called statements backing " people's resistance." Israeli parliamentary sources said that 14 Knesset members of the Israeli right and religious parties voted for lifting the immunity for 6 persons of the representatives of the left and the center who opposed the decision.
The Knesset was due to have voted for the decision of the said committee so as to be enforced.
