US sanctions on Sudan extended for more one year

The US president George Bush has announced the extension of the US sanctions imposed on Sudan for more one additional year.
News reports quoted a presidential statement as saying on Thursday that the former US President Bill Clinton had approved these sanctions in November 1997, because of reasons relating to human rights and what he called terrorism.
