Iranian media praises Moroccan support to Teheran's proposals on Afghan crisis
Morocco-Iran, Politics, 11/5/2001

The Iranian media praised on Saturday the support of King Mohammed VI to proposals put forward by Iran regarding the Afghan crisis.

The Iranian newspapers reported at their frontpages the audience granted last Thursday by King Mohammed VI to the Iranian president's envoy, vice-foreign minister for Arab and African affairs, who handed to the sovereign a written message from Iranian president, Mohammed Khatami, on the Afghan issue and the need for Islamic countries to coordinate their anti-terrorism actions.

The Iranian TV channels also underscored that the Moroccan sovereign called for intensive efforts to avoid a protraction of the war in Afghanistan and for mobilization of all Islamic potentials to disseminate Islam's humanitarian principles.
