Two Israelis were killed, 35 wounded in an operation in Jerusalem
Palestine-Israel, Politics, 11/5/2001

Two Israeli were killed and other 35 wounded in an attack carried out by one Palestinian resistance man in a coach for the Israeli settlers near the " French Hell" in Jerusalem.

Eye-witnesses said that the coach collided after fire was opened at it and the Israeli forces imposed a military siege on the area where the executor of the operation was killed.

While the Israeli police said the executor of the said suicide operation belongs to the Islamic Jihad movement and carried a " green card" of the Palestinian authority, the " Hamas' Movement claimed responsibility for the attack and said it is in revenge for the killing of Jamil Jadullah, the official in the military wing of Ezz Eddine al-Qassam group, who was killed on Wednesday by the Israeli fire bullets.

Meantime, Palestinian sources said that the Israeli Apatchi planes attacked Palestinian security positions to the north of Gaza and fired more than 10 missiles at Jabalia, beit lahia and Beit Hanoun. The Palestinian sources added the Israeli army fired 8 ground to ground missiles at two iron- steel workshops and a timber factory and fully destroyed them. The Palestinian man Abed Muhjis ( 35 year old) was wounded by the Israeli forces bullets while passing near al-Shuhadaa crossing to the south of Gaza.

Meanwhile, thousands of Palestinians held an eulogy in Gaza for Lt. Salah Ghazali ( 40 year old) who was killed during the Israeli bombardment in Gaza on Saturday.

Moreover, the Israeli forces carried out a vast detention campaign targeted several Palestinians in Toulkarem and the territories of 1948 claiming that the breaking in and incursion operations into the lands of the Palestinian authority achieve its set objectives.

On the other hand, the Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon said that he had decided to keep his deployed forces in the Palestinian cities and villages already broken into and occupied during the past weeks despite the American request from Israel to pull out from these areas.

Sharon added he had decided to cancel his due visit to the US this week because of the deterioration of the security conditions, considering the Oslo agreement signed by " Israel' in 1993 with the Palestinians was a grave mistake and that he will not give the Palestinians any proposal for the time being concerning negotiations.
