Jordan signs two loan agreements with Germany

Jordan on Sunday with the German building bank two agreements according to which the German bank will provide two loans at a cost of USD 50.7 million Marcs to carry out water projects in Jordan.

The signing of the two agreements came within Jordanian- German official talks started on Sunday in Amman and will last for two days to discuss Jordanian projects financed by Germany as well as to discuss other projects proposed to be financed during 2002- 2003.

On the Jordanian side, the two agreements were signed by the two ministers of planning Basem Awadallah and the irrigation and water minister Hazem and Naser while the German side was attended by the representative of the main office for the building Bank Hans Hosser and the director of the Bank's office in Amman R. Schmidth.
