Arab railways union holds symposium in Rabat

The Arab railways union is holding here its 10th scientific symposium titled "developing and improving the performance of railways in the Arab world." Several Arab transports ministers and ambassadors took part in the opening on Wednesday of the three-day symposium.
Decision-makers, experts and researchers from 20 countries are looking into restructuring of Arab railways companies, improving operating methods, developing infrastructure, modernizing equipment, promoting marketing and enlarging the private sector's role in industry, works and maintenance.
