Princess Lalla Hasna meets women figures in southern provinces

Morocco's Princess Lalla Hasna, who is accompanying King Mohammed VI in his tour of southern provinces, met on Thursday leading women figures in the southern regions and members of associations.
The princess was accompanied by Zoulikha Nasri, advisor to the king, and Nouzha Chekrouni, minister in charge of women condition, family and children protection and integration of handicapped persons.
The representatives of women associations in the region told the princess of their pride over the royal visit to the southern provinces and said they are honored by the trip that illustrates the deep links binding the local populations to the royal family.
This visit has a historic dimension and will remain forever engraved in the memory of the populations, they went on, renewing their mobilization with the sovereign to defend with resolve and pride Morocco's territorial integrity. They also underscored that the other women from the provinces who are still forcibly held in the Lahmada camps share the same patriotic feelings and are anxious to having an opportunity to express their loyalty and faithfulness to the Alawit throne.
The local representatives of the Moroccan Women Union, of the association for the reunion of families from the southern provinces, the royal advisory council for the Sahara affairs and women leading executives also appealed to international organizations and institutions to take action to lift the blockade enforced against women sequestered in the Lahmada camps.
