Yemeni citizen denies to have been handed over to the US, according to the US daily Washington post under charges that he is linked to the attack against the US warship " USS Cole" in 2000.
News reports quoted the Yemeni student Jamil Qasem Saeed Muhammad, who is preparing his doctorate at Karachi university to the south of Pakistan in the area of micro-biological sciences that news which spoke about his transfer to the US are not true and he is currently in Yemen and will return back to continue his study in Pakistan shortly. He stressed determination to sue the said American paper.
He explained the Pakistani authorities had arrested him in September for 8 days and after investigations were completed the Pakistani authorities apologized to him and he was released.
On October 28 the US daily Washington Post quoted Pakistani governmental sources as saying that Pakistan had handed over the US the Yemeni Muhammad because he is suspected of attacking the US warship Cool.
