The ruler of Kuwait returns back home after two weeks
Kuwait-Regional, Politics, 11/1/2001

The Kuwaiti acting prime minister and the foreign minister Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad said that the ruler of Kuwait Sheikh Jaber al-Ahmad will return back to the country after two weeks from now.

In statements he made on Wednesday upon arriving in al-Riyadh, Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad gave assurances that the Emir is in a good health condition.

On his visit to Saudi Arabia, the Kuwaiti foreign minister said that his visit aims at making consultations with the Saudi King Fahd Bin Abdul Aziz and the Saudi officials before his coming visit to Washington to hold consultations on current conditions.

In a similar statement before he had left earlier Kuwait for al-Riyadh the Kuwaiti minister expressed regret over the hostile campaign waged by certain American media against Saudi Arabia. He said:" regrettably that such a campaign is launched at Saudi Arabia because what is launched at Saudi Arabia is considered against us." The Kuwaiti minister explained that he is careful to visit Saudi Arabia before his visit to Washington, which is expected to be by the mid of next week in order to exchange view points concerning various issues of interest to both Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. He continued he will convey these view points to the high ranking American officials he will be meeting in Washington.
