Egypt condemns Israeli repression of Palestinian refugees

Egypt asserted that the Palestinian refugees had firm rights, stipulated by the United Nations general assembly resolution 194 for 1948, especially the right returning to their homeland or receiving compensations if they do not return.
Egypt's permanent delegate to the united nations Ahmad Abul Gheit said that Egypt had confirmed during the annual discussions of the item of Palestinian refugees that settling the issue of the Palestinian refugees is one of the main elements for reaching a just and comprehensive peace in the Middle East.
He said Egypt condemned Israel's repression of the Palestinian people and the military incursion into Palestinian towns.
Abul Gheit regretted the silence of some countries which need to be taught the lesson of human rights everyday.
