Israel refuses pullout from five Palestinian cities

After its "symbolic" withdrawal from Bethlehem and Beit Jala, the Israeli forces broke into areas in Deir al-Balah in al-Sheikh Ajleen quarters to the south of Gaza and bulldozed agricultural lands, uprooted fruit trees, demolished houses and arrested tens of Palestinians before these forces retreated at the pressure of the Palestinian Intifada youths resistance.
While Israel has kept its tanks and armored vehicles in the areas that belong to the Palestinian authority to the north of the West Bank, ten Palestinians from the territories of 1948 were wounded together with 15 Palestinian police men during the confrontation which erupted on Tuesday as the Israeli forces leveled agricultural lands in al-Teira town under the pretext of constructing a road to al-Tibeh.
The Israeli authorities demolished deliberately several houses in Beit Hanaia to the north of Jerusalem and reinforced its presence in the area and arrested several citizens of Beit Ore al-Tahta village in Ramullah.
The Israeli forces also fired four shells at Ghoushe Katieve settlement and one settler was wounded in Mousin settlement when he opened a booby trapped radio he got as a present.
Four Palestinians including three girls were wounded by the fire of the Israeli forces near Natsareim settlement.
Meantime, the Israeli authority denounced the rejection of " Israel" to withdraw its sources from sectors around five Palestinian cities in the West bank on the wake of the failure of the security meeting held between the two sides on Monday.
Chairman of the Palestinian security department Jibril al-Rajjoub said that the security meeting attained no results because of Israel's intransigence and its rejection to pullout from the Palestinian cities and ending the siege and halting the assassination acts.
On the other hand, an official at the "Islamic Jihad" movement said that the Palestinian Authority police arrested four activists of the movement including leading figures in Gaza.
Muhammad al-Hindi, one of the leaders of the movement said that number of the detainees of the Islamic Jihad reached 11 persons including Abdullah al-Shami, the spokesman for the movement.
